Designed by Danish designer Jonas Trampedach, the name and aesthetic of the Type Chair are derived from the perception of an archetypal chair. Type's distinctively shaped backrest gives it a uniform sculptural expression that reinforces the chair's sense of familiarity while retaining its unique character. Made from aluminium with a silicone coating, the chair merges craftsmanship and industrial processes to create a smooth, closed surface. Lightweight and stackable, Type's functionality, simplicity and consistent quality make it easy to incorporate into a wide range of indoor and outdoor settings.
