The Cool Republic presents you the new trio shelves design TIPTOE which combine here 3 white recycled plastic shelves made from a hundred yoghurt pots! This explains the white colour of the trays. The coloured, gold and silver splinters from the label fragments are clues to a past life. This is a real nod to the Terrazzo, this famous mineral material, also historically made from mineral waste. Each shelf is unique and reveals a singular history, that of the past of plastic, to which recycling gives a second youth!
The challenge of this collection was to reverse the initial lifespan of the material. We go from a product used for an extremely short and ephemeral period to a noble and robust object.
These shelves design are durable and will stand the test of time and are designed to be functional pendant several generations. It is a circular process that we admire at The Cool Republic: the transformation of an already existing material which itself can be recycled again.
These shelves are the result of an innovative manufacturing process. The plastic waste collected is reduced to chips and then pressed to finally form the tray. They are specifically designed to be combined with BRACKET legs or wall hangers.
The result is innovative objects that are resolutely turned towards the future of furniture! These recycled plastic trays are available in two colours and two sizes at The Cool Republic, and you can choose the colours of the hangers: a real highlight at the end of the year.
