A nod to mid-century modern design? Not quite. The extreme proportions bring an elegant and surprising shape to this reinterpretation of a great classic. The fluid yet distinct transition between slender lines and solid volumes, which gives rise to the chair's curved legs, evokes a lively dance between material and form. The weight concentrated towards the floor lends the chair a sense of strength and monumentality. At the centre of this sculptural structure, an upholstered seat offers various possibilities for expression through combinations of wood and textiles. With its bold geometry, the Bukowski chair boasts a striking silhouette that is both instantly recognisable, indefinably familiar and entirely unique.
