It was in Copenhagen in 1957 that architect Arne Jacobsen drew the first sketch of the AJ lamp. Commissioned by the airline company, the Danish architect was entrusted with the SAS Royal Hotel project down to its very last detail. To this end, Arne Jacobsen conceived the AJ lighting collection, including this table lamp with its geometric lines in stainless steel.

Like the building it once lit, this lamp went on to become one of the designer and architect's must-have pieces. Perfect for the corner of a desk or a chest of drawers, its adjustable conical lampshade casts a flawless light. Tips :

The table lamp emits light directed downwards. The angle of the lampshade can be adjusted to optimise the light distribution. The inside of the lampshade is painted white to diffuse a soft, cosy light.
