Sum Alu armchair - Normann Copenhagen

Two, four, nine modules? Whatever the number, the sum is the same: a beautifully proportioned sofa design that embodies contemporary elegance. Sum is the name of Normann Copenhagen's take on a light modular sofa, which looks just as complete whether it is set up as a two-seater or as a living-room dream several metres long. The design is rigorous and focused, yet its character is open and welcoming: as graceful and resolute as a wing unfolding in the air, the sofa spreads its armrests and invites you into its soft, welcoming space. Slender, angular legs lift it off the floor as a delicate counterpoint to the generous contours of the back and armrest. The contrasting facets of Sum's design are framed by a harmonious modular concept. In a seemingly effortless flow, the lines of the modules meet and merge into one integrated whole. The back has been considered too, so the sofa can stand in the middle of a room and delight the eye from every angle. The Sum sofa can be composed of eight different modules, angled or straight, with open or closed sides. Add the elements you like to create a bespoke sofa and create welcoming, dynamic seating areas, completed by the matching armchair from the series. Designed by Simon Legald
