Square black metal outdoor dining table 70x70x75cm - valerie_objects

Having created a myriad of tableware pieces for valerie_objects, Baas has designed a collection of outdoor chairs and a table. "The starting point was similar to every object I make: to make a fully functional design piece that looks like it was sketched by hand," says Baas. And so Baas redefined the typical outdoor furniture made up of metal frames and wooden slats by sketching the slats with a pencil on paper, then meticulously recreating them in real life. The result is very Maarten Baas: a design that looks as though it was drawn by a child.
