Samurai armchair in oak and natural leather - NORR11

By studying mid-20th-century hunting chairs, designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl have created a modern interpretation of these remarkably low seats.
Its structure draws on Japanese joinery techniques combined with Danish wooden chairs: Samurai gives carefully considered prominence to the turned oak sections that support the comfort of the seat and its geometric poise, akin to the stick chairs so popular in the 1950s. A beautiful piece, perfectly completed by a chiselled round oak section that reinforces the elegant curve of the backrest.
Samurai comes in saddle leather: it folds around the chair like a suit of armour and carries the body with ease. The seat is fitted with brass rivets for maximum strength, while the backrest is fitted with adjustable leather straps and brass buckles.
