Inspired by the bistro tradition that flourished in France's major cities at the end of the 19th century, before being adopted all over the world, the Allez chair is part of a new generation of chairs influenced by this café culture.
Through its design, its functionality and its recyclability, Allez places the soft curves and structural strength of the bistro chair in a contemporary context. The result is a versatile object that evokes the past while adapting to an even wider range of settings and uses.

The Allez chair has a light, airy look, with a design rich in references. The organic curves of the backrest echo the lines of the body, while the curve at the bottom, along the seat, forms an additional reinforcement ensuring optimum strength and seating comfort. Designer Simon Legald sets out to create honest objects, rethought for the needs of our times, and the making of Allez was no exception to this principle.

Driven by the desire to create a long-lasting object, Normann Copenhagen took inspiration from other innovative sectors, such as the automotive industry, where replacing parts extends a product's lifespan. With Allez, Normann Copenhagen now brings this principle to furniture design: a flat-pack chair that can be taken apart, made from reusable materials and with worn parts that can be replaced in order to extend its lifespan.

Its discreet dimensions make it easy to tuck away under the table, and its design adapts to every situation, from a small home to large restaurant dining rooms.

Allez is supplied in separate parts, flat-packed. This compact form of packaging reduces CO2 emissions from transport, while making the chair easy and practical to take home. Supplied with a tool kit and an assembly manual, Allez is easy to put together in just a few minutes.
