The PH 80 was originally a table lamp and a floor lamp designed as a tribute to Poul Henningsen, one of Denmark's most famous designers, particularly renowned for his work on lighting. The PH 80 was created in 1974, after Henningsen's death, to mark what would have been his 80th birthday. The original PH 80 is part of Henningsen's celebrated "PH series" and follows his ambition to produce glare-free lighting through a multi-shade design. The PH 80 portable lamp is both functional and aesthetic, providing comfortable, warm and diffuse indirect light, suited to homes as well as professional settings.
