The PH 80 was originally a table lamp and a floor lamp designed in tribute to Poul Henningsen, one of Denmark's most famous designers, particularly renowned for his work on lighting. The PH 80 was created in 1974, after Henningsen's death, in honour of what would have been his 80th birthday. The original PH 80 is part of Henningsen's celebrated "PH series" and follows his desire to create glare-free lighting through a multi-lampshade design. The PH 80 table lamp is both functional and aesthetic, providing comfortable, warm and diffuse indirect light, suited to homes as well as professional environments.
