Originally designed in 1954, the Bagdad lamp is a brilliant and offbeat demonstration of Mathieu Matégot's material affinity with perforated metal. A multi-faceted cubist construction with a comet-like tail, the sculptural design of the Bagdad has proven timeless in its unique, playful character.
The new edition halves the size and adds a further element of versatility by making it portable. Fitted with a touch dimmer offering three brightness levels and available in three colours – black, white and International Orange – the Bagdad is a one-of-a-kind addition to GUBI's Matégot portfolio and to the ever-growing collection of limitless rechargeable lamps.
