Undoubtedly one of Ib Kofod-Larsen's best-known creations, The Seal is an elegant armchair, typical of its era – and yet utterly timeless. The sloping frame and armrests, together with the leather upholstery, put comfort front and centre, inviting you to relax. And although it is made from heavy materials, it has a lightness about it; the shell appears to float within the wooden frame. Named after the Swedish ski resort of Sälen, rather than the animal, The Seal is a fine example of Ib Kofod-Larsen's organic design and his focus on detail and comfort. The chair is available with a low or high back.
