Ochre felt ball rug 70x100 cm Big One - myfelt

Felt ball rugs have arrived at The Cool Republic: meet the German brand myfelt, whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Made in line with fair trade principles, the Big One collection is crafted from large felt balls, each one shaped individually by hand.

As an unexpected eye-catcher, a single purple felt ball completes this beautiful rug in an ochre colourway.

Its rectangular shape gives it a touch of originality: it will easily find its place at the heart of a living room or a bedroom, while its bright, cheerful colours will heighten that happy effect.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the finest of all thanks to its durability and exceptional quality.

Right at the start of the manufacturing process, the wool is carded in a workshop in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict ecological and humanitarian conditions, which are indeed approved by GoodWeave, one of the most important organisations campaigning for a fair carpet industry.

Each individual ball is brought to its final shape by hand over several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which may comprise up to 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting technique developed especially by myfelt.

A beautiful decorative piece made to the highest fair trade standards – now there's an idea that takes you places!
