Black and white felt ball rug 90x130 cm Lino - myfelt

Felt ball rugs have arrived at The Cool Republic: meet the German brand myfelt, whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Made according to fair trade principles, the Collection range is crafted from large felt balls, each one individually handmade.

Its contrasting colours and graphic patterns bring a touch of originality: the Lino rug by myfelt will easily find its place at the heart of a living room or a bedroom.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the finest of all for its durability and exceptional quality.

At the very start of the manufacturing process, the wool is carded in a workshop in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict ecological and humanitarian conditions, which are moreover approved by GoodWeave, one of the leading organisations campaigning for a fair carpet industry.

Each individual ball is brought by hand into its final shape over several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which can be made up of as many as 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting technique specially developed by myfelt.

A beautiful decorative piece made to the highest fair trade standards: now there's an idea that takes you places!
