At the launch of TOLIX, Mr. Pauchard was faced with unusable scrap metal. A precursor of sobriety and non-wastefulness, he had understood a century before anyone else the need to remain frugal even in a period of high consumption. So, in 1935, using the scraps left over from cutting, he invented a collection for his own children, called Mouette, which includes an armchair and a pedestal table. The armchair, based on the TOLIX Tabouret H seat and a skilful combination of folding, folded angles and riveting, looks good and requires the same high standards of craftsmanship as the iconic models. Its sturdiness is a guarantee of quality and longevity, making the Fauteuil Mouette a charming object to be handed down from generation to generation.
