Care : American red oak is a hard, durable wood that develops a beautiful patina over time. To preserve its character, dust the surfaces regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For a more thorough clean, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth in the direction of the grain, then dry immediately to prevent moisture from building up. Avoid abrasive cleaners, silicone-based polishes and excess water, as these can damage the surface or cause the grain to swell. Protect the oak with coasters, placemats or felt pads to prevent stains, scratches and heat marks. Wipe up any spills immediately and keep your furniture away from direct sunlight, high humidity and heat sources to prevent discolouration, cracks and warping.
