Interpretation of the Japanese word Ōku which means oak, this coffee table refers to the essence itself of its making. Experimenting with the balance between lightness and heaviness, Oku intends to combine a paper-thin rendering while remaining solid. The design thus emphasizes the natural material, with a wink à la refining of which it is commonly the object.
The Oku table top is produced in oak veneer with rounded edges, adding a refined detail to the large surface. The turned oak sectional legs are positioned sporadically to créer the illusion of a floating top, while adding sculptural detail to the table.
