Interpreting the Japanese word Ōku which means oak, this dining table refers to the essence itself in its craftsmanship. Experimenting with the balance between lightness and heaviness, Oku intends to combine a paper-thin rendering while remaining solid. The design thus highlights the natural material, with a wink à la refining of which it is commonly the object.
The Oku table top is produced in oak veneer with rounded edges, adding a refined detail to the large surface. The turned oak sectional legs are positioned sporadically to créer the illusion of a floating top, while adding sculptural detail to the table.
