The VL Studio family is derived from a lamp model designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for Radiohuset, Copenhagen's former Radio House, in the 1940s. The VL Studio lamp is closely related to the Radiohus Pendant: both produce diffuse light through opal glass, for pleasant general illumination.

Echoing the original materials and style with slight modifications, the VL Studio Wall light made its return in 2022 in a new matt black finish for a more graphic, pared-back look than the polished brass version, which has a softer, warmer appearance. The VL Studio Wall light brings a touch of modernity and warmth to all types of interiors thanks to its simple aesthetic and excellent quality materials.
