Hyg is an exclusive range of seating developed by Simon Legald, Normann Copenhagen's signature designer, as part of his collaboration with this remarkable Danish label. Starting from the premise of designing furniture with a comfortable shell-type seat, Simon Legald focused his work in particular on the detail where the shell meets its base.

Hygge is synonymous with well-being – security, warmth and comfort are part of its DNA, and it is precisely these qualities that provide the template for Simon Legald's Hyg lounge series.

The generous silhouette of these seats exudes a primal, organic purity. Its voluminous form is offset by a slender outline, which refines and sharpens its expression. The high sides gently shelter the sitter, while a wide seat allows for a broad range of relaxed sitting postures.
