Ochre and purple felt ball rug 70x100 cm Contrast - myfelt

Felt ball rugs have arrived at The Cool Republic: meet the German brand myfelt, whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Made according to fair trade principles, the Contrast collection is crafted from large felt balls, each one shaped individually by hand.

Its contrasting colours bring a touch of originality: the Contrast rug by myfelt will easily find its place at the heart of a living room or a bedroom, and its bright, cheerful colours will only enhance that happy effect.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the most precious of all for its durability and exceptional quality.

At the very start of the manufacturing process, the wool is carded in a workshop in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict ecological and humanitarian conditions, which are moreover approved by GoodWeave, one of the leading associations working towards a fair carpet industry.

Each individual ball is brought to its final shape by hand in several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which can be made up of as many as 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting technique developed especially by myfelt.

A beautiful decorative piece made to the highest fair trade standards: now there's an idea that takes you places!
