The Nessino lamp by Artemide , a contemporary reinterpretation of the famous Nesso lamp, embodies the essence of the Italian design of the 60s, a period marked by innovation and the democratization of design thanks to the new uses of plastics.
Designed by Giancarlo Mattioli and the Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova, elle won first prize in the Studio Artemide /Domus competition at Milan in 1965, underlining its immediate impact on the world of design.
Made in Italy, the Nessino reflects European craftsmanship, with its polycarbonate body and diffuser offering a soft, pleasant downward diffusion of light. Available in a range of colors, including the iconic opaque orange, elle adapts harmoniously to a variety of environments, from the home to bureau.
