Designer Simon Legald created the furniture series Hyg. When the series was launched in 2018, it consisted of a 2-seater sofa, lounge chairs and a footstool. In 2020, the range was expanded with a chair and a bar stool that share the characteristics of the lounge series: warm, organic curves designed with sublime comfort in mind.

The concept of hygge is focused on well-being - safety, warmth and comfort are part of its DNA, and it is precisely these qualities that serve as the model à la collection Hygge. With the new models, the range - and comfort - is expanding encore plus, and new possibilities are opening up for créer environments that are consistent with the dining and living areas.

"The moments where we sit ensemble, where we immerse ourselves in conversation and share a meal - for me, this is where the feeling of hygiene really reaches its peak. So it seemed natural to me that the Hyg range would also provide the setting for such moments. The hygienic feeling is not only linked to the visual experience of design, it is the overall sensual experience. A lot of effort has gone into sculpting the shape to provide rest and support for the human body, to make it sit comfortably, " says Simon Legald.
