The Cool Republic presents the new exceptional shelf TIPTOE which combine here a white recycled plastic shelf made from a hundred yogurt pots! This explains the white color of the shelf. The colored chips, gold and silver from the label fragments are clues to a past life. This is a real nod to Terrazzo, that famous mineral material, also historically made from mineral waste. Each shelf is unique and reveals a singular history, that of the past of the plastic material, to which the recycling gives a second youth!
The challenge of this collection was to reverse the initial life span of the material. We go from a product used for an extremely short and ephemeral period to a noble and robust object.
These shelves design and durable resist time and are designed to be functional pendant several generations. It is a circular markdown that we admire at The Cool Republic: the transformation of an already existing material that can be recycled again.
These trays are the result of an innovative manufacturing process. The collected plastic waste is chipped and pressed to form the tray. They are specifically designed to be associated with BRACKET legs or wall hangers.
