In the wake of its work around rattan weaving, wooden materials and airy imaginings, Vincent Sheppard presents the Vivi series of ceiling lights.

Vivi is first and foremost a very particular technology for the passage of light, for exposure to the world, made possible by the asymmetry of the weave.

But it is also an organic biology, that of the evolution of rattan, which breathes, contracts and relaxes according to environmental factors: humidity, heat and time.

Ultimately, Vivi is a way of vitalising light, and of re-vitalising the organisms that benefit from it, humans as well as their companions.
