The vase was designed by Mendel Heit, a designer whose inspiration comes from a mixture of new technologies, traditional crafts, contemporary society and local heritage. For Mendel Heit, design is a space for endless creation. As technology advances and culture evolves, he continues to find new challenges and possibilities to explore.
Tombola came about in a rather haphazard way. Building blocks based on eight abstract shapes were combined in random order to produce the structure surface unique of vase glass.
A strong source of inspiration were modular building blocks such as les briques LEGO. The plus great inspiration came from observing craftsmen such as glass blowers and ceramists.
The reliefs of the coloured glass play with the ombre and the light, giving Tombola an artistic caractère. Available in two sizes and two colours.
