Clear resin vase 22x8x28cm Draw - Normann Copenhagen

Copenhagen-based creative studio TABLEAU, led by designer Julius Værnæs, has collaborated with Normann Copenhagen to create the "Draw Vase": a series of sculptural resin vases that translates intuitive, "blind" drawings into three-dimensional forms. The Draw Vase collection comes in two sizes, each one born of a unique drawing made by Julius without looking at the paper. Emerging from this spontaneous drawing process, these sketches capture immediate emotional imprints, subsequently transformed through extrusion into translucent, tactile resin shapes. The result is a series of vases combining spontaneity with architectural presence. The materiality of the object enriches this dialogue: its transparent, reflective surface plays with light, highlighting the contours of the drawing and giving the whole a striking spatial presence. Julius, founder of the multidisciplinary design studio TABLEAU, explains: "The plant world is at the heart of my practice. Flowers have always been a way for me to create emotion and atmosphere." His approach rests on an intuitive design methodology. For more than ten years, he has been making blind drawings — often depicting flowers — in order to capture an immediate, authentic expression. While the drawing process is instinctive, almost naive even, the final result is considered and sculptural.
