With the Can sofa, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec set out to go beyond designing something practical, elegant and comfortable. The intention is to reinvigorate the whole idea of the sofa, from something inherently complicated to something simple, relaxed and accessible. The sofa comes flat-packed and can easily be assembled at home from three basic elements: the frame, the cover and the cushions.
