La Mère Marie Michielssen's first line of ceramic dinner services is an affectionate ode to (-)motherhood and women in general. The service appears slightly nostalgic, yet is innovative in many ways thanks to its vertical structure. Each shape is and shaped by hand. All pieces are finished with a glaze in off-white or warm dark brown, almost black. As a third contrasting color, Marie opted for a powerful Venetian red.
