Composition : Product material Backrest cushion: a single core of outdoor-grade foam, wrapped in wadding, enclosed in an inner lining and covered with a final layer of padding that includes a non-slip feature for greater stability. Seat cushion: Several layers of outdoor-grade foam provide enhanced support and comfort. The foam is wrapped in wadding and an inner lining, before being covered with a final fabric covering. Care : According to ECDC guidelines, all surfaces can be regularly disinfected with at least 70 per cent ethanol. Clean the fabric with a water-based cleaner, a mild, water-free dry-cleaning solvent or diluted bleach. General care: Treat stains immediately. The longer a stain remains on the fabric, the harder it will be to remove. It is recommended that you use a professional furniture cleaning service. Always test a cleaning method on a concealed area first. Several light applications of a cleaning product are less harmful than a single concentrated application. Repeat the stain treatment several times if necessary. Never use heat to clean fabrics. Heat can set stains. Do not use products containing bleach. These agents can cause discolouration over time. Do not oversaturate the fabric and do not allow water to accumulate in the seams. Stain treatment: Absorb any excess moisture immediately. For oil and water stains, use a clean, soft white cloth, a natural sponge or a soft-bristled nylon brush with a water-free dry-cleaning solvent. Brush the stain using light, rapid movements. Avoid rubbing and work from the edge of the stain towards the centre. For stubborn stains (chewing gum, candle wax, etc.), use a plastic bag filled with ice to rub the stain until the substance becomes brittle. Use a clean, blunt, flat knife to gently scrape away the substance. Take particular care when cleaning dark colours to avoid creating light marks, which may be caused by colour transfer. Avoid rubbing excessively to prevent discolouration and damage to the surface of the material. Do not saturate the surface. Allow the fabric to dry completely and vacuum it before use. Clean the chair with a damp cloth after use. If necessary, use a mild detergent or non-concentrated washing-up liquid. Always wipe dry with a dry cloth afterwards. Liquids, grease, etc. must be removed immediately to minimise the risk of stains and marks. Lacquered surfaces may become scratched or chipped if struck by other hard objects. Clean the armrests with a damp cloth, following the grain of the wood. If necessary, use a mild detergent or non-concentrated washing-up liquid. Always wipe with a clean, damp cloth, then with a dry cloth. To minimise the risk of stains and marks, liquids, grease, etc. must be removed immediately. It is recommended that you clean the armrests once or twice a year using a cleaning product for outdoor wood* to remove algae and dirt. Please follow the instructions on the wood cleaning product. If left untreated, the armrests will develop a patina over time and eventually take on a silvery-grey hue. This patina does not affect the durability or quality of the armrests in any way. If you wish to preserve or enhance the original colour of the Sapele mahogany, we recommend regularly applying a clear outdoor oil. Muuto recommends that you contact your local hardware store for advice on which oils to use outdoors.
