The Josephine chair is very representative of the architectural identity of KOK.

On the one hand, it is a question for the brand of summoning certain noble materials such as pine and rattan, as well as certain techniques of assembly of materials such as the braiding of wood in order to evoke a historically and geographically located meeting: that between the oriental weaver know-how and the western industrial furniture, with simple forms.

On the other hand, this historical reactivation also includes a cultural project: this furniture, far from plunging us into the nostalgia of a colonial past, opens us on the contrary to a surpassing of the oppositions between syl and territories, and initiates, via the motive of the interweaving, a passage from the meeting to the dialogue, from the opposition to the association.
