Sand basket 45 x 45 cm Shaker - Normann Copenhagen

The Shaker basket is a reinterpretation of the American Shaker style, known for its guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty. These principles have been carried through into the design of the Shaker basket, which, in its form and materials, embodies quality and minimalism. The inspiration behind the Shaker baskets comes from traditional woven ash baskets and the boxes used to hold wood shavings in Shaker workshops, which were used to feed wood-burning stove fires. The shapes and design principles of these traditional baskets blend perfectly with the modern materials and techniques used for the Shaker basket: the result is a refined, contemporary design piece with a hint of history. Free from ornament and extravagance, the visual appeal of the Shaker Basket lies in its clean, aesthetic lines. The rounded rectangle and the soft, organic curve give it a pleasing graphic form, making it a unique and functional storage basket. Suitable for spare blankets, toys, firewood and magazines, the Shaker Basket is a versatile and elegant solution to your storage needs.
