Our tatami mats combine the rich tradition of Japanese design with modern functionality and comfort. The firm surface of these tatami mats makes them wonderfully versatile: they are just as suited to meditation and yoga as they are to creating a cosy play area. They can also serve as an elegant headboard or blend into a minimalist bedroom scheme. Made from natural rush and rice straw, these tatami mats offer a soothing aesthetic while remaining highly functional. The black border, in hard-wearing cotton stitched with polyester thread, adds an elegant, refined touch. Features

Tips : Tatami mats must always be kept dry to prevent mould from forming. Clean them with a slightly damp cloth and avoid using harsh cleaning products. When vacuuming, follow the direction of the weave, as vacuuming against the grain could damage the surface or push dirt deeper into the material. Where possible, use the lowest suction setting. As tatami mats are sensitive to damp, ensure there is good air circulation above and below them. It is recommended that you air the tatami mats from time to time, preferably on dry, sunny days.
