Round stool in banana leaf and natural iron 48x48x45cm Zarkah - Bazar Bizar

The Zarkah Stool by Bazar Bizar combines an iron structure with a woven banana leaf covering. The contrast is striking: the metal line defines the seat and legs, while the plant fibre brings texture and relief. In its natural finish, the weaving retains the nuances inherent to the material, which vary from one piece to another.

Its compact, almost cubic proportions make it an easy object to place. Positioned at the foot of a sofa, it serves as an extra seat for a passing guest. Next to an armchair or a bathtub, it acts as a small surface on which to place a book, a tray or a towel. Two pieces side by side can also replace a coffee table.

The woven fibre and metal blend with interiors that play on raw materials, pale wood and neutral tones. The stool naturally finds its place in a living room, a bedroom or a veranda, wherever one seeks a simple volume and a visible material.
