An interpretation of the Japanese word Ōku, meaning oak, this dining table pays tribute to the very essence of its making. Exploring the balance between lightness and weight, Oku sets out to combine a paper-thin appearance with genuine sturdiness. The design therefore highlights the natural material, with a nod to the refinement it is so often given.
The top of the Oku table is made from oak veneer with rounded edges, adding a refined detail to the generous surface. The legs, made from turned sections of oak, are positioned sporadically to give the illusion of a floating top, while adding a sculptural detail to the table.
