The idea for this design was born during a walk through the neighborhood, where the fluted facades of the buildings left a lasting impression and are reflected directly in the fluted column that forms the heart of the table. The surface fluted column adds tactility but also creates a dynamic, changing interplay of depth and shadow throughout the day, depending on how the light falls on it.
Made from travertine, the Soho table features a column and top designed to contrast. The thin, light top contrasts sharply with the sturdy, fluted base column. An intentional interplay between heavy and light elements is part of what makes the table interesting. The table's surface is treated with a Nano coating to resist light splashes, ensuring practicality without compromising aesthetics, as surface retains its matte finish. Pendant meanwhile, the raw, untreated column highlights the purity of the material, embracing the beauté found in its small voids and distinctive imperfections.
