Since 2010, Miguel Angel Garcia Belmonte has paid tribute to the artisanal tradition of his native town of Totana through a design practice that blends the working of clay with a demand for contemporary forms. By modernising the tools of production, he has turned this heritage into a benchmark for the art of ceramics in Spain.
Mediterranean at heart, it was by drawing inspiration from all that is mineral, plant-like and alive in that sea that Miguel Angel Garcia Belmonte designed this Flame pendant light! Made from natural terracotta, the Pott's Flame pendant light collection has two personalities: the outside has been left natural and unglazed, while the inside offers a gently contrasting white glazed finish. The subtle lines left by the production process wrap around the outside of the lampshade, adding movement and fluidity while recalling the swirl of the potter's wheel.
