With its Eco pillar candle, Broste Copenhagen returns to the essential: a clean cylinder, an assured proportion, a bold colour. The Saffron Orange model brings a warm touch that reads just as well unlit as it does lit, placed alone on a console or aligned with other formats to compose a landscape of light.
The candle is cast in pure stearin, a dense material that burns slowly and holds its shape during combustion. The cylinder remains straight, the flame hollows out in the centre and leaves the walls intact. Its generous height and wide diameter give it a sculptural presence, even without a candleholder.
It finds its place on a dining table, the edge of a fireplace or an entrance tray, and readily combines with ceramics and textiles from the Danish brand. A simple object, designed to last the duration of several evenings.
