Equipment required:

Special adhesive for non-woven wallpaper, plastic bucket, roller or paintbrush, wallpaper brush, spirit level or plumb line, masking tape, sponge, ruler and craft knife.

Preparing the walls:

The walls must be smooth, clean and dry. If necessary, apply a white undercoat of paint.

Hanging the wallpaper:

Decide where to position your strip and draw a vertical line using a spirit level or plumb line to ensure the strip is hung perfectly vertical.

Prepare your paste in a bucket. Apply a thin coat of paste to the wall only, using a brush or roller. Take care never to apply paste to the non-woven wallpaper itself, and do not apply the paste in a thick layer so as not to make it too damp.

Apply the strip to the wall starting from the top, then unroll it down to the bottom. Gently wipe away any excess adhesive with a slightly damp sponge, taking care not to dampen the non-woven wallpaper too much.

Smooth the strip down with a soft brush to remove any air bubbles.

Adjust the strip at the bottom of the wall and trim it if necessary using a ruler and a craft knife.

Repeat with the second strip, taking care to position it correctly so that the pattern matches up. And so on.
