Dutch designer Marcel Wanders drew inspiration from his childhood memories when designing this Skygarden pendant. Conceived as a diffused-light pendant luminaire, Skygarden is the result of Wanders' happy intuition to translate a private moment into design. When the Dutch designer had to leave his home, where he could enjoy a ceiling with a magnificent plaster decoration, he decided to detach it with its magnificent floral motifs and take it with him to his new home.
Skygarden becomes, through design, the story of this history. The result is a cast plaster dome, mechanically worked and painted white on the inside, with refined exterior chromatic finishes. An iconic lamp that skilfully blends industrial approach and artistic vocation, minimalism and decoration.
