Known to many as "the man who lit up Finland", legendary designer and blacksmith Paavo Tynell is one of the leading figures of 20th-century industrial design. Tynell design classique from the 1950s, the 1967 suspension develops the design language developed in 1948 for the 1965 suspension.
The 1967 features a tapered fabric shade that emits a warm ambient light, with Tynell's iconic brass hardware adding a subtle, high-end expression. Beneath the bulb, a fabric diffuser modulates the light, and underneath, a decorative brass detail gives each lamp a sparkle of caractère and subtly influences the play of light that elle generates.
The A1967 variant uses Tynell's ingenious counterweight system to allow à la lamp to be adjusted up and down, adding flexibility to the spaces elle occupies and visual interest to à la room.
