Green-beige felt ball rug 70x100 cm Big One - myfelt

Felt ball rugs have arrived at The Cool Republic: meet myfelt, the German brand whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Committed to fair trade, the Big One collection is made from large felt balls, each one individually handcrafted.

As an unexpected eye-catcher, a single orange felt ball completes this beautiful rug in a beige shade with greenish undertones.

Its rectangular shape gives it a touch of originality: it will easily find its place in the centre of a living room or a bedroom, and its bright, cheerful colours will enhance this happy effect.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the most precious of all for its durability and exceptional quality.

At the very start of the manufacturing process, the wool is carded in a factory in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict ecological and humanitarian conditions, which are moreover approved by GoodWeave, one of the leading associations for a fair carpet industry.

Each individual ball is brought by hand into its final shape over several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which can consist of up to 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting process specially developed by myfelt.

A beautiful decorative piece made to the highest fair trade standards – now there's an idea that takes you travelling!
