The Daumiller chair is a classique from the Danish design of the 1970s. Solid in construction, simple in form and sculptural in expression, the Daumiller chair 's direct materiality and robust composition pay homage to Rainer Daumiller's affinity with natural materials and forms.
Constructed from durable solid pine, as were the original pieces produced by the Hirtshals sawmill in 1977, the seat and backrest are ergonomically adapted to the contours of the body, which only adds to the bold, retro expression of this classique from the Danish design .
Inspired by the traditional Danish milking stool, as well as Hans J. Wegner's China Chair, Daumiller's créer aim was to create a chair capable of withstanding jeux children's and adults' parties, yet with a sculptural form that exudes strength and timelessness.
