Tips : To protect your mattress and keep it in good condition, we recommend using a sheet. To ensure the futon retains its shape, is well ventilated and remains flat, you should turn it over and rotate it regularly. We recommend turning the futon through 180 degrees, swapping the head and foot ends, approximately every 3 to 4 weeks. If necessary, the surface can be vacuumed to remove dust. For stains, use a slightly damp, colourless cloth with a small amount of clear washing-up liquid. Gently dab the affected area and remove any excess moisture with a dry cloth or kitchen roll.

Our traditional futon is a cotton mattress with a thickness of 13 cm. By adding 5 to 10% polyester to our cotton, we guarantee a higher density and thickness than traditional Japanese futons. However, it retains all the qualities of a traditional Japanese futon. The traditional futon will provide you with firm sleeping comfort. The cotton of the futon will adapt to your body and support it. Please note that all our futons are handmade; therefore, you may notice slight differences in size and weight.
