The Bayu pendant light plays on the contrast between a steel frame and a wide, handmade paper lampshade. Its volume is generous, almost sculptural, with a width far greater than its height, lending the whole a low, enveloping silhouette.
The white paper diffuses the light from a single source and softens the illumination, while the dark finish of the frame traces the lines of the piece. This pairing of raw materials and pale tones sits just as comfortably in a natural interior as in a more elaborate decorative scheme.
Suspended from a chain, the Bayu can be adjusted across a wide height range: it hangs low over a dining table just as readily as it sits high in an entrance hall or stairwell. For indoor use only.
