Floor lamp emitting direct and indirect light with symmetrical and asymmetrical distribution. Composed of two vertical blades in ash wood connected by chromed metal fittings. The blades pivot around a central tubular light source to allow variable light emission. Base in raw black iron separated from the vertical blades. Dimmable linear LED light source custom developed. The lamp can also be equipped with standard T8 LED tubes. Designed by Tobia Scarpa in 1963 and re-edited in 2025, the Seki-Han floor lamp testifies to his mastery of design and his expertise in woodworking. The complex construction is inspired by naval techniques to shape two wooden blades that now rotate around the light source. Even when the blades are almost entirely closed, a thread of light remains visible, creating a poetic effect. Named after a traditional Japanese rice dish served on special occasions, the Seki-Han floor lamp is a living presence where the immateriality of light meets the tactile quality of wood.
