Valerie_objects offers a cutting-edge selection of the most plus talented designers of the moment. Collaborating with this new label, Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen continue their formal research and the creations that flow from it. Trained as artists, one as a sculptor, the other as a photographer, their duo was born, their proposals at à la the frontier of their respective fields and their shared passion for design. Open to esprit, champ possibilities, with Muller Van Severen, the armchair is extended into a light fixture, the chaise longue rubs shoulders with the armchair in a tandem unique, the piece of furniture becomes a living space, a space to live in when it is compose a storage unit, both table and armchair. Their work goes beyond the object: it's a way of living that they create, a way of occupying space, of taking possession of it. Their furniture invites us to live differently, more aware of our surroundings. An obvious reference to Sigmund Freud, a bold proposal for a psychoanalysis session tinged with design, this piece of furniture could have taken up the postulate of conversation, a double armchair dear to the 19th century, but ultimately prefers to opt for the spatial proposal of the father of psychoanalysis. With its intense personality, this piece of furniture is a mode way of thinking, a way of living. Choosing it is a manifesto of support and attachment to rigorous, high-quality design.
