Interpreting the Japanese word Ōku meaning oak, this dining table refers to the essence itself in its craftsmanship. Experimenting with the balance between lightness and heaviness, Oku intends to combine a paper-thin rendering while remaining solid. The design thus highlights the natural material, with a wink à la refining of which it is commonly the object.
The Oku table top is produced in oak veneer with rounded edges, adding a refined detail to the large surface. The turned oak sectional legs are positioned sporadically to créer the illusion of a floating top, while adding sculptural detail to the table.
