Dark pine sofa with light futon 94x225x82cm Bare - Karup Design

The BARE sofa was designed by Says Who with a clear intention: to bring together, in a single architectural form, a distinctive and original sofa and a genuinely comfortable bed. Its expression is calm and considered. A sofa that keeps its shape, even when it changes function. Its structure is open and pared back to the essentials. A simple, raw design language. The solid pine frame stands out for its clean lines, generous proportions and visible structural logic. The clearly exposed joints and open framework are an integral part of the design: details that are not concealed, but celebrated. This is what gives the sofa its raw precision and authentic, handcrafted character. The horizontal backrest rail runs through the frame, unifying the form in a clear graphic gesture. The silhouette stands out distinctly in the room: light in its expression, yet strong in character. And despite its pared-down design, BARE offers generous comfort, both in the seat and in the soft back cushions that create balance and well-being. Comfort rests on an integrated spring mattress that provides steady support, both in sofa mode and in bed mode. A true sleeping surface – with no compromises whatsoever. The cushions are easily removed and the mattress unfolds to its full length and width. The transition is simple. The BARE sofa is for those who appreciate clarity of form, authenticity of materials and no-frills functionality. A sofa and a bed brought together in one coherent solution.
