Felt ball rugs are coming to The Cool Republic: allow us to introduce the German brand myfelt, whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Made according to fair trade principles, the Mono collection is crafted from large felt balls, each one individually shaped by hand.

The Alva rug by myfelt will easily find its place at the centre of a living room or a bedroom, and its bright, cheerful colours will only enhance this happy effect.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the finest of all for its durability and exceptional quality.

Right at the start of the manufacturing process, the wool is carded in a workshop in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict environmental and humanitarian conditions, which are approved by GoodWeave, one of the leading organisations promoting a fair rug industry.

Each individual ball is brought to its final shape by hand over several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which can be made up of as many as 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting technique specially developed by myfelt.
